In 1989, the City of River Falls established a downtown Business Improvement District (BID).  The BID is located in the heart of downtown River Falls and was created to help foster business development and business retention in the center of our city.

In 2000 the BID established a Facade Grant Program that encourages the building owners to refurbish,  maintain and update their building facades. The BID also established a Sign Grant Program to help businesses offset the cost of new signage for their businesses and buildings.

These grants (you don’t need to pay them back!) are intended to help River Falls business and property owners in the Business Improvement District make critical investments to improve the exteriors of their building including, but not limited to, awnings, signs, windows and facades.  Grants range from a maximum of $1,000 for awnings and signage along with up to $6,000 for building facade improvements with a maximum of $7,000 for a building facade project with no signage or awning.  Review the link to the left and contact us with any questions, comments or concerns.
